POLYURETHANE INTERLAYERS:

Thermoplastic polyether polyurethane interlayers are specially formulated to be used as an adhesive interlayer for optical laminating applications. Designed to adhere to dissimilar materials such as glass, polycarbonate, acrylic, and CAB (Cellulose Acetate Butyrate), while allowing for the expansion and contraction characteristics of these materials. These laminating films are used for Architectural and Transportation Security/Ballistic Glazing.

As an interlayer combined with other engineering plastics, they are formulated to resist repeated physical attacks, bullets and explosive blasts. These products are widely used in prisons, jails, mental hospitals, and service station kiosks, banks and ATM machines. Transportation applications are armored vehicles, limousines, money transports, and military vehicles and many other applications.

AG8451 is formulated to be used without the need for a glass surface primer. As a policy, we recommend that the laminator qualify the product as such.
Tecoflex ® optical interlayer films contain UV protective additives.
